The AAP is not a credentialing or licensing body. AAP expects members licensed in their professions to be accountable to the ethical requirements of their licensing or credentialing bodies.
AAP members are committed to creating a compassionate container for honest inquiry and purposeful collaboration.
AAP warmly welcomes all those willing to reach out to, and revere people marginalized by systems of oppression such as racism, classism, ableism, sexism, heterosexism, ageism, and cis-genderism.
AAP members commit and aspire to foster and shape loving conversations and to remain curious, and willing to stay engaged in dialogue and self-reflection. The AAP continually seeks how we can engage in larger worldwide collaboration for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
The AAP recognizes its role in advancing psychosynthesis through the necessary transformational approach to a decolonization of psychosynthesis in order for the framework of psychosynthesis itself to grow, adapt, and share in the pursuit of life- long learning through the process of psychosynthesis.

Your contributions help us expand our reach and make psychosynthesis accessible to communities worldwide.

Psychosynthesis is an inclusive approach to human growth that dates from 1910 and the work of the Italian psychiatrist and psychotherapist Roberto Assagioli. He recognized the need for an inclusive system that would help humans come together within themselves as well as with each other and their world. Assagioli – and an increasing number of psychotherapists, educators, physicians, social workers, clergy, and others – worked to develop and refine this inclusive view of human growth: a task which continues today.
The Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis (AAP) is sustained by a committed community of members and volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and leadership in service of its mission.
In addition, AAP may engage paid staff or contractors as needed to support organizational continuity, coordination, and specific initiatives. Together, these efforts help advance the principles, methodologies, and values of Psychosynthesis around the world.
Our community includes therapists, coaches, educators, creative artists, scientists, and practitioners from many disciplines, all united by a shared commitment to psychosynthesis and human development.
Psychosynthesis grows through shared inquiry, relationship, and service. We welcome members from diverse backgrounds who feel called not only to deepen their understanding of Psychosynthesis, but to help steward and expand it.
AAP actively invites members who are interested in contributing their time, skills, and leadership—whether through governance, volunteer roles, community initiatives, or creative collaboration. For those who are able, financial contributions are another meaningful way to support this work and help sustain the organization’s mission.
By bringing your lived experience and willingness to serve, you help shape the future of Psychosynthesis and its contribution to the world.
