Introducing the Synthesis Journal (The Psychosynthesis Institute in San Francisco)
I’m very pleased to make available here the complete set of the Synthesis journals published by the Psychosynthesis Institute, San Francisco, in the mid-1970s. Only three issues were ever produced, yet together they offer a remarkable window into the creativity, intellectual depth, and pioneering spirit that animated psychosynthesis during this formative period in North America.
Each journal brings together leading voices of the time—psychologists, philosophers, spiritual teachers, educators, and practitioners—all exploring the central theme of The Realisation of the Self. You’ll find interviews, essays, practical techniques, and early formulations that reveal how psychosynthesis was being lived, taught, and developed in a vibrant community of inquiry.
These journals are more than historical documents: they remain fresh, relevant, and inspiring for anyone engaged in the psychosynthesis path today. I hope you enjoy exploring them and that they contribute to your own journey of understanding, practice, and inner synthesis. They had a wide circulation with 45.000 subscribers.
