Nella Ciapetti Assagioli — A Feminist Spirit in Psychosynthesis

By Harsh Soni

New Article: Nella Ciapetti Assagioli — A Feminist Spirit in Psychosynthesis

In this newly translated article, William Esposito explores the life and contribution of Nella Ciapetti Assagioli, a figure who has largely remained in the background of psychosynthesis history. Far from being only “the wife of Roberto Assagioli,” Nella emerges as a strong, independent, and capable woman who played a vital role in both family life and the broader theosophical and psychosynthetic milieu.

Drawing on biographical sources and historical context, the article highlights her intellectual interests, her involvement in the journal Ultra, and her practical strength as a partner who sustained both a household and a vision over decades.

This is part of a larger effort to bring forward the overlooked figures who contributed to the development of psychosynthesis.
