Contribute to the May 2026 Psychosynthesis Quarterly
Psychosynthesis and Peace
The Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis (AAP) invites contributions for the May edition of its Quarterly journal on the theme of Psychosynthesis and Peace.
As another war in the Middle East brings suffering and uncertainty, we reflect on the role that Psychosynthesis might play in averting aggression, and also perhaps in resolving or managing conflict.
In his Reflections on Peace, Roberto Assagioli said:
“It is quite likely that humanity has never been so without peace as it is now… There are open and concealed struggles on all sides, alongside the repercussions of war and the threat of conflict in the future. There are struggles between nations, classes and parties, and this is no less the case when we consider the inner conflicts, agitations and storms within the human heart itself, which can take many forms: emotional, moral and religious crises, dissatisfaction with ourselves and with others, rebellion against society, the family, life and against God”. (Transpersonal Development, 2007, Smiling Wisdom, p.270).
AAP members, along with those from Psychosynthesis groups such as the European Psychosynthesis Association, have regularly participated in Peace Meditations and hosted meetings on the theme of peace.
We invite you to share your reflections on this important and, all too sadly, topical theme. We encourage articles and papers, as well as poems, artwork and imagery such as photographs.
As always, we also encourage relevant book reviews, event and meeting updates and personal reminiscences, as well as topical items on initiatives in the Psychosynthesis community.
Re-envisioning the Quarterly
Please note that, following the recent relaunch of the AAP website https://aap-psychosynthesis.org, and the inauguration of the Synthesis Community on Mighty Networks, we have begun a process of re-envisioning the role that the AAP Quarterly might play in the global Psychosynthesis community.
We are looking to develop a new vision and mission for the AAP Journal, and welcome feedback from AAP members and those in the wider Psychosynthesis community on how this might be achieved.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS APRIL 30, 2026
Please send your contributions to: newsletter@aap-psychosynthesis.org
Articles should be submitted in word.doc format with all images sent as jpegs or pngs attachments.
Please also send a brief bio in a word doc format and recent photo as jpeg or png attachment.

“Cultivating peace is not a spiritual luxury, but a daily necessity for all those who want to maintain their inner integrity and not be swept away by the collective currents of agitation and frenzy. And cultivating peace is also, and no less, a duty towards others. Those who know how to be a living center of peace at this time, those who know how to radiate it powerfully and unceasingly around themselves, bring to poor humanity the blessing of which it is perhaps most deprived and in greatest need.” (Roberto Assagioli, Transpersonal Development, 2007, Smiling Wisdom, p270).
