A Community of Practice of Psychosynthesis with the Powers of the Universe
Join us on the second Monday of each month for an evening of community practice and reflection on the actual cosmological powers of the universe and their potential to transform our consciousness. The intent of our circle is to deeply foster, through intimate dialogue, meditation, imagery, and conscious reflection a cosmological dialogue and relationship with the universe itself.
In 10 monthly gatherings we will be introduced briefly to the thought and writings of Thomas Berry Ph.D., CP and his principal student, Brian Swimme Ph.D. Together, in a deeply experiential process we will bring the practices of psychosynthesis to the largest context and identity of ourselves, that of earth and cosmological beings. ‘Beyond the door of mystery’ and into relationship with the powers of the universe itself as our way forward as species.

Meet the Facilitator
Scott Thompson
Scott Thompson’s 40 year career has taken him from Army chaplaincy to psychotherapist and teacher. Scott has presented at local, national, and international workshops during a professional career integrating psychological and spiritual approaches to helping others. Grounded in Psychosynthesis as a living, existential process, he has, of late, become deeply concerned about the many indications of a planet in crisis. So inspired, he has brought Psychosynthesis principles to courses sharing the cosmological vision of “ecologian” Fr Thomas Berry and scientist, Brian Swimme, and now is demonstrating how that vision aligns with Psychosynthesis. , Scott has a private psychotherapy practice and is a member of the AAP steering committee, of which he is also a past Co-Chair, and board member of The Center for Spirituality and Psychotherapy of The National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
