Workshop

Introducing A Trauma-Informed Psychosynthesis Approach to Working with Subpersonalities

Friday, June 5, 2026

About the Workshop

We are delighted to invite you to join us online as our guest for an hour with Psychosynthesis guide, trauma therapist and educator, Dolma Beresford.

Dolma will introduce a contemporary, trauma-informed approach to working with subpersonalities, rooted in the tradition of psychosynthesis, updated through current trauma theory and clinical practice.

A century ago, Assagioli described subpersonality theory as “one of the chief points” of his approach, highlighting the dynamic interplay between multiplicity and unity within the human psyche. Today, parts-based approaches are central to many contemporary therapeutic models; however, the original contribution of Roberto Assagioli is often overlooked.

In bringing together contemporary parts work, neuroscience, mindfulness approaches and Psychosynthesis, Dolma has bridged past and present approaches. The result is a rich, compelling and highly accessible understanding of how these “parts” arise, their purpose and gifts, and how their intelligence can be received and integrated in ways that deepen our capacity to be attuned and relationally grounded.

This introduction is a precursor to a full, 5 hour workshop, which will be held online 10 days later.
