Description: In this webinar, we will explore the potential to use Psychosynthesis in supporting those facing work choices, challenges and transitions. To do this, I will invite participants to explore their own work journeys through a series of creative visualizations and exercises. These will likely include one of Roberto Assagioli’s creative visualizations, one or two exercises such as Cottle’s Three Circles and/or my own favorite, Self-Maps, and maybe an online quiz. We will then have time to discuss some evolving trends in the workplace and reflect on what these might mean for our own practice in coaching, therapy and psychosynthesis.

I expect that some of you will, like myself, be advanced in life and facing the challenges of what many call our “wisdom” age. It’s likely that others will be in the middle of their work journey or taking new turnings along the way. So we can each use the webinar in the way that seems most relevant to our own situation: looking backwards, forwards or simply focussing on what is present. I hope this webinar will provide a forum for open sharing about the challenges, trials and tribulations of work as well as the many opportunities it offers for self-expression, creativity and the fulfilment of our higher purpose.

The seminar will last for around 2 hours in total.

Learning Objectives - Attendees will:

  • •Understand the evolution of career development theories and how they overlap with models evolved of the Self from psychotherapy. Discuss and explore how these models might change and evolve as AI and automation transform the face of work.
  • •Develop their own self-reflection around their career and work journey, and explore what it has meant for them in terms of their sense of meaning and Purpose.
  • •Explore how their sub-personalities can be integrated into the unfolding work narrative, and how this and other aspects of Psychosynthesis might be used in coaching or guiding others in their evolving career narratives.
  • •Create and explore maps of past, present and future lands that allow you to envision a personal work transition or desired transformation. Understand how one’s memories of the past and memories of the future both affect how you approach the transition. Use the created map as a physical prop to catalyse your energy and to overcome barriers.
  • •Explore and understand ancient symbols that can help you and your clients to identify more fully with their authentic inner Self and explore how this can deepen one’s sense of purpose and meaning.
